TAP (Teacher Assistant Program) is for volunteers who are able to help during the school day with administrative tasks that teachers need assistance with.  This could be copying, cutting papers, laminating and more.
We have a dedicated TAP room to work on these projects. The TAP schedule has openings all week long and we're always looking for more people to volunteer!
Leopard bucks are our school's good behavior incentive program. Students are awarded leopard bucks when they're observed to be living out our School's values with their friends and the staff.
Once a month the Leopard Buck store opens up for students to spend their leopard bucks, they can buy small and medium sized trinkets to recognize their hard work.
Our volunteers sort, organize, display and staff the Leopard Buck store so that students can exchange their bucks!
Halloween dances, the color run, the fun fair, movie nights and more! We are always looking for volunteers to help out with school events.
Whether it's manning an activity station, passing out treats or running a concession stand - we need lots of volunteers to make our events a fun, safe time for our students.
In addition to running the events, we need help coordinating and planning them! As a PTC volunteer you can join a committee and help make our events memorable and exciting for all of the families who attend.
To volunteer in any capacity at Lake in the Hills Elementary school you need to complete two things: attend a volunteer training and apply for Raptor certification.
Volunteer Training
These are held a few times a year and are facilitated by the Lake in the Hills Elementary staff.  To find out when the next training is being held please contact the school office.
Raptor Certification
Raptor Technologies provides security screening and background checks for all d300 volunteers.  You can start the application process here.  Please note, it can take a few days to get Raptor certified though you can get certified prior to doing the volunteer training.
Contact the PTC Board
You can contact the PTC board at info@lithptc.org to find out about volunteer opportuntities.  You can also attend a PTC meeting and learn about what is going on around the school and what volunteers are needed.
